A smoothie bowl can be a very attractive breakfast after a workout, a hot day and it will feel like an ice cream breakfast filled with goodies. Adding in some veggies will help avoid a glucose spike as well. Here is a delicious smoothie bowl recipe to get your day started on the right foot.


1 frozen banana

2 tablespoons nut butter or tahini

2 tablespoons cacao in powder

2 dates

1 cup plant milk of choice

(optional, feel free to add a portion of riced cauliflower, spinach or pre soaked oats for extra fiber)


  1. Place all ingredients in a high speed blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer to a bowl and top with halva crumbs and an extra drizzle of tahini.

This is one suggestion for this recipe, however feel free to play with your favorite flavors. You can add a bit of vanilla or espresso if you like and can also add in spices like cinnamon or cardamom.
